Light Control Options
A perk of woven shades is that, since they are handcrafted, they allow some natural light in even when lowered. A more open weave style will allow more light to pass through and vice versa. For privacy and room-darkening purposes, you can choose to add a liner to your woven blinds. The right liner will not only serve a practical purpose, but it will also enhance the look of your shade by contrasting with the weave and accentuating the texture.

Bamboo, reeds, and other materials used to create woven shades are incredibly lightweight and flexible.
